Dr. Mohammed Zahed Mustafa Khan received his B.E. degree in electronics and communication from Osmania University, India, in 2001, M.S. degree in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia, in 2004, and PhD degree in electrical engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, in 2013. Prior to joining KFUPM, he was a SABIC postdoctoral research fellow in Photonics Laboratory, KAUST, from 2014 – 2015.

From 2001 – 2002 and 2004 – 2009, he was a lecturer of electronics and communication engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, India, and electrical and electronics engineering technology, KFUPM – Hafr Albatin campus, Saudi Arabia, respectively.


Research Interests

Dr. Khan's prior research involved developing numerical models for integrated optics device simulation. Currently, he is working on simulation and experiments (both device and system level) on novel semiconductor optoelectronic devices, particularly on laser diodes. (click here for more details)
