AppML Web Services
AppML is used to describe the elements of an
application, but the application itself must be executed by a set of Web
Services.
AppML Web Services
With AppML, the application relies on Web Services to execute the
application. Once an application is defined in AppML, the AppML description can
be read by a Web Service to produce a result.
Here are some examples of some possible AppML based Web Services:
HTML Report Service
A Web Service that runs an HTML report based on an AppML description.
XML Report Service
A Web Service that runs an XML report based on an AppML description.
WAP Report Service
A Web Service that runs a WAP report based on an AppML description.
HTML Form Service
A Web Service that executes an HTML form based on an AppML description.
HTML DB Query Service
A Web Service that executes an HTML Database Query based on an AppML
description.
Example of AppML Web Services
<appml>
<database>
<connection>music_db</connection>
<sql>select title,artist,year from cd_catalog</sql>
</database>
</appml>

The AppML document above can be read by a lot of different Web Services
to produce different results. Here are a few examples:
