BONUS ACTIVITIES FOR MATH-101 STUDENTS

 

Note:

1)      The weight of this activity is 3 quizes.

2)      All activities can be done individually or in a group of 2 or 3 students.

3)      Each activity can accept maximum of 5 participants (individuals or groups). The first group or individual to choose an activity will be assigned to that activity. Groups submitting later, will be required to choose different activity. (Hurrrrrrrry up!!!).

4)      Evaluation will be based on:

a.      Content (you should cover what the activity asks for).

b.      Output should be clear, neat and organized.

c.       Submit typed or in clear hand writing (more marks will be given for the typed output not the handwriting).

5)      Due date for choosing the activity you want is Saturday Jan 2nd, 2001 before 11:00PM. 

6)      Due date for submitting your completed activity is Saturday Jan 9th, 2011 before 11:00PM.

7)      Selection & submission is to be done through WebCT: (discussion/bonus activities).

 

Choose one of the following activities:

 

[SE1] Summarize exam 1 material (Chapter 2) in only one A4 paper, which will help you and your classmates to review for the final exam. It will also be a good and quick review on the day of the final exam J

 

[SE2] Summarize exam 2 material (3.1 to 3.7) in only one A4 paper, which will help you and your classmates to review for the final exam. It will also be a good and quick review on the day of the final exam J

 

[SF] Summarize material after exam2 (3.9+ 3.10+ 3.11+  4.1+ 4.2 +4.3+ 4.4 + 4.8) in only one A4 paper, which will help you and your classmates to review for the final exam. It will also be a good and quick review on the day of the final exam J

 

[DESF] Design an expected final exam (14 questions is enough). This will help you review previous final exams and get the idea of topics that are usually in the exam. This is a good experience for you and a useful help for your classmates to use in their revision J

 

[CH6] Choose 6 problems from this list, and solve them by showing all details.

 

[FMSH] Write one A4 paper which shows how to differentiate any function including formulas of derivatives for all functions we studied in this course. This is a good and quick revision paper for you and your classmates J

 

[FS091] Download the final exam for 091, solve it, and show all detailed steps on how you arrived to the solution. Good revision for you J
