Definition and Usage

This element inserts an image.

Examples

This code: Produces this output:
<p>This is an image: <img border="0" src="smiley.gif" alt="Smiley"></p>

Required Attributes

Attributes: Values: Description:
src url The address of the image you want to insert
alt text A short description of the image. Use it for text-only browsers

Optional Attributes

Attributes: Values: Description:
longdesc url  An address to a document that contains a long description of the image (for text-only browsers) 
vspace pixels White space, in pixels, at the top/bottom of the picture
hspace pixels White space, in pixels, at the left/right side of the picture
align top
bottom
middle
left
right		 Picture alignment to the surrounding text
usemap url Sets the picture as a client-side image map. Look at the <map> and <area> tags to figure out how it works
ismap url Sets the picture as a server-side image map
height pixels
%		 Sets the height of  an image
width pixels
%		 Sets the width of  an image
border 1
0		 Deprecated. Do not use it
