About Me

Dr. Hariri is Associate Professor in the Earth Sciences Department at KFUPM. He obtained his Ph.D. from SDSM&T (South Dakota School of Mines & Technology), USA in 1995. Dr. Hariri was the chairman of the Erath Sciences Department from 1997 until 2004 . From 2004 to 2006  he was the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs at KFUPM. Dr. Mustafa main specialty and research interest are in the field of structural geology with emphasis on lineament and fracture studies and application of remote sensing and GIS in geology.  Before joining KFUPM he worked as Geologist in the DMMR (Deputy Ministry for Mineral Resources) from 1983 to 1990. During that period he acquired intensive experience in mineral exploration, filed mapping and geological analyses. At DMMR he served as assistant to the Chief Geologists for Mining Engineering. He was also the Secretary of the National Higher Committee for Mining and Concessions. Dr. Hariri was a board member of the Saudi Geological Survey from 2001-2004. And was a board member of the Research Institute at KFUPM from 2000-2003.    

Dr. Hariri has obtained good training in the field of e learning. He attended two workshops concerning this subject. The first one was (2003) in University of British Columbia, Canada, and the second was in 2007 in University of South Queens' Land, Australia. Both workshops were extensive and focused on Instructional Designing and methods on e learning delivery modes and issues on e learning. He also passed successfully with highest grade a course in Tutoring Online course provided by University of Illinois, USA (2008). In addition he taught several times in the Instructional Designing workshops provided for KFUPM faculty members. He was involved of instructional designing of the Arabic Grammar online course.

Currently Dr. Hariri is the Director of the e learning Center at KFUPM.
