Software Engineer

Global Technology Development Group,

Motorola, Florida, USA

Worked as a member of software development teams for Motorola’s Professional Series of Two-Way Portable and Mobile Radios in the following roles:

Firmware Engineer

-         Designed and Implemented LED and Display Manager Services for Professional Portable Radio using Assembly language for 68HC11.

-         Designed and Implemented Request to Talk and Voice Storage Answer Mode features for Professional Mobile Radio using Assembly Language for 68HC11.

-         Tested radio software functionality to match the Software Requirements Specifications. Participated in Integration testing, System testing, Alpha and Beta testing in finding and fixing defects before the product is released for shipping to the customer.

Software Configuration Manager

-       Maintained Configuration Items including planning documents, source code, Software Requirement Specification documents etc using Rational Rose’s ClearCase under UNIX OS.

-        Integrated documents and source code from the developers’ branches onto the projects main line branch upon request for subsequent release.

-       Carried integration testing on the newly built software before tagging and releasing the software for testing by the test team.

Web Master/Coordinator

-          Developed and maintained an interactive website for Professional Mobile Radio on Motorola’s intranet using HTML and CGI/Perl. The website also allowed for submitting issues/problems in to a database to be reviewed by the Project leader.
