Mr. Mohammed Sanhoob is a lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering and researcher at the Center of Research Excellence in Nanotechnology (CENT). He received his MSc. in Chemical Engineering at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) under supervision of Dr. Oki Muraza in 2015 on the topic “Development of modified MTW zeolites for catalytic cracking of n-hexane”. He obtained his BS in Chemical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).

He conducted his first research at 2012 when he was doing his COOP program in the research of catalysts field. He contributed to several governments funded projects in the field of Refining Catalysts and the Conversion of Natural Gas Derivatives to Fuels and Valuable Chemicals. These governments funded projects are funded by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and carried out by Center of Research Excellence in Nanotechnology under the principal investigator (PI); Dr. Oki Muraza. During his MSc. program, he continued his research in those projects and he extended his research work to contribute in industrial project funded by S. Aramco to develop nanostructured zeolites for oil upgrading. After his MSc. he invited for a consulting visit from January 2015 to April 2016 in CENT-KFUPM to contribute in closing the governments funded projects and to continue his research in the industrial project which funded by S. Aramco.

On April 2016, Mr. Sanhoob joint KFUPM as a lecturer at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Researcher at Center of Research Excellence in Nanotechnology (CENT). Since joining KFUPM in 2016, Mr. Mohammed Sanhoob assigned to continue his work in the development of nanostructured zeolites for oil upgrading which funded by S. Aramco project and became a team member in developing novel zeolite catalysts for selective conversion of methanol to olefins which funded by SABIC. Beside his research, he assigned to coordinate the outreach program of CENT. His role in outreach is to coordinate, organize and contribute in the advertisement and publicity, supervise and contribute in the process of archiving CENT information, organize for educational programs for CENT such as organizing for seminars, workshops, lecture series, students presentations, and contributing in student mentorship program (SMP), and organizing for CENT entertainment and celebrations. Academically he taught two undergraduate section for the study of Chemical Engineering Laboratory I in semester 162. In July 2017, Mr. Mohammed Sanhoob was sent by CENT-KFUPM to Tokyo Institute of Technology for one month to execute some catalytic evaluation and characterizations to facilitate the execution of SABIC’s project.
