Dr Sheikh Sharif Iqbal has completed his BSc
(1990) degree in ‘Electrical and Communication Engineering‘ from
University of San Carlos, MSc (1992) degree in ‘Communication
Engineering and Digital Electronics‘ and PhD Degree (1996) in ‘Electrical
Engineering‘ from University of Manchester, UK.
He has authored 36 referred journal/conference papers, 15 referred
technical reports and completed 9 funded projects. He is a senior member
of IEEE and Honorary Treasurer of IET Saudi Section. His achievements
includes several awards related to teaching, research and
supporting student activities.
His research work is based on modeling, simulation
and when possible experimental verification of gyrotropic control
circuits and antennas for RF/microwave/millimeter-wave devices. His
recent research interest involves modeling the front end of microwave
sensors, which integrates gyrotropic control devices with compact, switchable, wideband and/or multi-frequency planar antennas.
