RESEARCH
My research interests are in the thin film growth and characterization of nitride and oxide based semiconductors and dilute magnetic semiconductors. I am particularly interested in the materials that can potentially be used for optoeletronics, renewable energy, and spintronics applications.
Thin film growth is performed by RF/DC sputtering or Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD). Sample characterization is performed by atomic force microscopy, x-ray diffraction, spectrophotmetry, Hall effect, SQUID, and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.
