Entities are variables used to define shortcuts to common text.
- Entity references are references to entities.
- Entities can be declared internal, or external
Internal Entity Declaration
Syntax:
<!ENTITY entity-name "entity-value">
DTD Example:

XML example:

External Entity Declaration
Syntax:
