Dr. Wessam
Mesbah received his Ph.D. in 2008 from McMaster University, Hamilton,
ON, Canada, and his M.Sc. and B.Sc. (with highest honors) degrees in
electrical engineering from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt, in
2003 and 2000, respectively. He joined the Electrical Engineering
Department of King Fahd University For Petroleum and Minerals in
February 2010 where he is currently an associate professor. Between
January 2009 and February 2010, he held the position of a postdoctoral
fellow in Texas A&M University at Qatar, Doha, Qatar. His research
interests are in the areas of cooperative communications and relay
channels, layered multimedia transmission, wireless and sensor networks, multiuser MIMO/OFDM systems, cognitive radio, optimization, and advanced
signal processing techniques.
