Hussein Attia (M’06) received his B.Sc (First Rank with Distinction) and MASc degrees from Zagazig University, Zagazig, Egypt in 1999 and 2006, respectively. He is currently working toward PhD degree in E&CE department, University of Waterloo, ON, Canada.
His current work in the RF and Electromagnetic Research group at the University of Waterloo is in the area of artificial magnetic materials (Metamaterials) for antenna applications and developing analytical formulations for the far-field of composite radiating systems. During his Master's, he worked on designing and fabricating wideband compact microstrip patch antennas using numerical techniques based on FDTD method
