Dr. Al-Haboubi is a full professor in Systems Engineering Department at KFUPM. He has obtained his PhD. in 1987 from Oregon State University, USA, in Industrial Engineering. His major field is Human Factors Engineering ( Ergonomics) . Since then he is working in Systems Engineering Department as a teacher, researcher, and administrator. He worked in summer at Saudi Aramco, Yanbu Petroleum Refinery, and Chiyoda in Japan. He participated in post graduate programs in the UK three times. He worked in several industrial projects as well and taught many short courses. He has several publications in reputed journals and conferences. He has served in many committees in the university. He is the chairman of the Ennvironment, Health, Safety, and Security Committee since 2000 and chaired the System Engineering Department for three years. He supervised many students in the senior project, coop program, and thesis. His current research interest is to solve problems during Hajj (Moslem Pilgrimage).
