Students are expected to observe the following guidelines in order to excel in this course.

 

Attendance

You should be in class on time. Late comers are not welcome because they disturb the class.

You are required to attend all lectures

• Official excuses should be communicated to me within a week.
• University policies regarding unexcused  absences will be applied.

 

Homework

• Homework on the material covered each week is collected on Monday of the following week.
• Each homework is treated as one unit irrespective of the number of sections it involves
• Late homework will not be accepted.
• A number of problems (usually 5) out of the homework will be selected at random and graded.
• Each homework is worth 10 points.
• To ensure high grade in the homework all problems should be worked out complete and correct.

 

Grades

The final grade in the course will be based on:
Two mid term exams
Five quizzes
Homework assignments
The grade distribution is as follows
Mid term exams	44%
Quizzes	15%
Homework	05%
Final	36%
