Teaching
This semester (102)
This semester I am teaching Math202 sections 05 and 06. If you are a student of mine, then you should visit WebCT for announcements, etc.
Previous semesters
Below are some bits and pieces from previous courses in various states of completeness. These may contain unsightly typographical errors, unseemly errors of style or even unforgivable mathematical errors. Caveat emptor!
Math232 (Introduction to sets and structures)
- Here are the slides to a lecture on induction, delivered as part of this course.
- Toward the end of the course we had a series of lectures on group theory & symmetry. You can find the set of notes I prepared here. The initial aim was to get as far as a classification of the 17 wallpaper groups but this had to be abandoned (there is, however, a lecture at the end outlining how such a classification might work). These notes were prepared on a lecture-by-lecture basis & may contain many errors. If I have a chance to deliver Math232 again I will polish these notes further.
Math260
- Here is a set of revision notes I prepared for this course.
