My name is Umar
M. Johar and my friends usually call me Umar. I received my B.Sc.
and M.Sc. degrees from the King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals
(KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1990 and 1993, respectively. Between
1990 and 1993, I was a Research Assistant in the Electrical Engineering
Department at KFUPM and in February 1993, I joined the same department
to work as a lecturer where I am still employed. During this period, I
have taught many courses and labs and have been actively participating
in many committees in the department. Some of these committees are
planning committee, student advising committee, lab development
committee, applied engineering committee, department services committee,
university and industry relation committee and many conference
organizing committees. In addition, I have been supervising the EE
department laboratories and EE courses graders for the past few years.
Currently, I am administrating the EE department graduate office.
