Suhail Al-Dharrab is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, and Assistant Dean of Research at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. He received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 2005. He received the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Waterloo, Waterloo, Canada, in 2009 and 2013, respectively. From 2005 to 2007, he worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Electrical Engineering Department at KFUPM. His research interests span topics in the areas of wireless communication systems, diversity techniques, and information theory.

I have openings for M.Sc./Ph.D. students in the area of wireless communication systems (physical layer aspects). Highly qualified and motivated students with strong mathematical background and programming skills are preferred. There is an opportunity to access the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Communication Systems and Sensing (IRC-CSS) facilities and resources as well. Research Interests

Broadly in physical layer aspects of next-generation wireless communication systems, performance analysis and system-level design, cooperative communication systems, non-terrestrial networks using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), wireless geophone networks, underwater acoustic communication, communications in impulsive noise, diversity techniques, and information theory.
