Dr. Fahad Saleh Al-Ismail, Associate Professor at the Electrical Engineering Department and Research Fellow at the Sustainable Energy & Power Systems Center at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, specializes in teaching Power System Planning and Operation. His research covers power system reliability, security, flexibility, renewable energy integration, energy storage system planning and operation, demand-side management with intermittent resources, and renewable energy uncertainty.

At MIT's Center for Energy & Environmental Policy Research, he focuses on sustainability analytics, particularly evaluating decarbonization pathways and Power-to-Gas technology. As the former Director at K.A.CARE Energy Research and Innovation Center and KFUPM's Center for Environment and Marine Studies, he has led significant renewable energy research and development efforts and supervised national environmental projects, establishing critical local and international partnerships.
