Cisco ConfigMaker Network Design Tool

You are about to download the Cisco ConfigMaker Software. This software requires:
Windows 98, Me, NT 4.0 or 2000
16MB RAM total
20MB free disk space for standard installation
Cisco IOS software Version 11.2 or later on your routers

Cisco ConfigMaker is an easy-to-use Microsoft Windows application to configure a small network of Cisco routers (800, 1000, 1600, 1700,2500, 2600, 3600 and 4000 series), switches, hubs and other network devices from a single PC without requiring knowledge of IOS. It assists you in configuring IPSec, IOS Firewall, voice, NAT (NetworkAddress Translation), CAR (Committed Access Rate), DHCP and other IOS features.

Cisco ConfigMaker is designed for resellers and network administratorsof small to medium-sized businesses who are proficient in LAN and WAN fundamentals and basic network design.

Communications Networks Lab

A set of experiments are carried out to demonstrate and complement the course material. Network design principles and other influential factors are emphasized throughout the lab work. A network design package (such as Cisco ConfigMaker) is utilized in one experiment to design simple and complex networks. Network Simulators (such as Packet Tracer and Boson Network Simulator) are used to provide real world experience to the students. Many network design architectures (peer-to-peer, client-server, point-to-point) are demonstrated and implemented. Students got the hands-on experience of Routers and Switches configuration, troubleshooting and programming. After carrying out all the experiments, the students are expected to acquire a good hands-on experience in network design, implementation, configuration and troubleshooting.
