Research Interests

Soil structure interaction, local soils and foundations problems, constitutive modelling of soil, nonlinear numerical analysis, soil stabilization, and environmental geotechnology.

  1. Worked as a member in research team to study the corrosion behavior of Hadeed’s steel products (through R.I.), 1987, 16 months, for amount of SR 400,000.
  2. Received a grant, as principal investigator, from KACST, to study the problem of expansive soil in the Eastern Province, 1989, 42 months, for amount of SR 805,660.
  3. Member in a research team to study moisture rise in a salt contaminated soil column and effect of saline groundwater on moisture rise in clean, fine grained soil column (RI, KFUPM).
