GUEST SCIENTIST, Fritz-Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Inorganic chemistry department, Berlin, Germany, February-December 2015.

Designed and conducted research on the observation of catalytic reaction with in situ Scanning electron microscope (SEM).

·   Conducted experiments to observe & tune catalyst dynamics during hydrogen and hydrocarbon oxidations in in situ SEM.

·   Developed procedure to tune catalyst substrates to grow either CNF or graphene with in situ SEM.

 

RESEARCH FELLOW, TUM CREATE Ltd., Singapore, March 2011-December 2014

Activity highlights:

·   Managed Li-O2 battery research group; designed setups and conducted experiments, supervised PhD and bachelor students.

·   Installed equipment for material science and battery research.

·   Collected and Catalogued 20+ types of carbon materials (graphites, carbon blacks, nanotubes) for catalysis, electrochemistry and energy storage research.
