Dr. Belabbes merzougui

“Dr. Merzougui received his PhD degree in chemistry (specialization
in electrochemistry) in 1996 from the University of Science and
Economy, Marseille, France . He has been a post doc fellow from
1997-1999 at the University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada.
He joined GM Research Center in Michigan, where he held several
technical positions during the period of 1999-2006. He worked on
different electrochemical device technologies, such as NiMH
batteries, Alkaline fuel cells, and PEM fuel cells. In 2006, he
moved to United Technologies Corporation (UTC) in Connecticut as a
Research /Eng. Staff to lead electro-active materials research
group, focusing on fuel cells for aerospace and stationary
applications.
Since 2010, Dr. Merzougui is leading the catalysis group in the
Center of Nanotechnology, KFUPM, Dhahran, SA., focusing on the
development of nanostructured catalysts for clean energy &
environment.
Dr Merzougui continues to work as a consultant in the area of
electrochemistry and coordination chemistry for UTC and Sun
Catalysis Corp. in USA.
Dr. Merzougui received many awards from General Motors Corporation
and United Technologies Corporation. He has disclosed 29 US patents,
in addition to many international journal and conference papers”
