Alakhdhar, S. Zaki has received his B.S. and M.S. degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1989. He joined KFUPM as a graduate assistant in 1982, and as a lecturer in 1983. He is currently an assistant professor of EE. He is a member of IEEE and The Saudi Council of Engineers. He worked as a consultant for Saudi Aramco. His main research interest includes digital signal processing and telecommunications systems.
