Ph.D. Work: Light from silicon nanocrystallites

During my graduate studies (`94-`99) I worked in Solid State physics at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Under the leadership of professor Munir Nayfeh, we developed "ideal" silicon nanocrystallites. Many optical and material characteristics  were examined and a number of papers were published.
