ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Ø      Learned Oracle (6,7, and 8) and its products (Forms, Reports, Graphics, management tools) by self study and used them to develop database tables, data entry forms, and output reports for different projects successfully and satisfactorily.

Ø      Attended a week-long short course on SQL*PLUS offered by the Saudi Oracle.

Ø      Designed and developed a management information system for the Research Institute of the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The institute employs more than 350 employees (150 researchers and rest supporting staff). The system consists of more than 30 tables, an equal number of data entry forms and a number of reports supported by graphics.

Ø      Developed a weekly time sheet report database used by the researchers to report their hours (regular and non-regular) used on different activities during the week. Also designed reports for the management to facilitate them about the time utility of the researchers on different activities.

Ø      Wrote SQL text to create tables, users, and roles.

Ø      Designed and developed applied research management support system for the Research Institute of the university. The institute consists of seven centers providing services to the industrial needs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. These centers carry out the research projects for the Kingdom. The system is capable of providing the accounting cycle of each project. It consists of more than 40 tables storing information about employees, project budgeting, commitments, revenue recognition, liability liquidation, laboratory services, etc. Reports were developed for centers and top management to provide project profitability, fiscal control, cash flows and many more.
