Dissertation Title: Preparation, Characterization and Catalytic Evaluation of Zeolite Catalysts for Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether Synthesis. M.S. (Chemistry) -- King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Thesis Title: Investigation of Nitrogen Compound Types in High-Boiling Petroleum Distillates from Saudi Arabian Crude Oils. AREA OF SPECIALIZATIONS: I have been involved in the scientific research work for the development of catalysts that are used in refining and petrochemicals processes in Saudi Arabia and rest of the world. All seven refineries owned by Saudi Aramco and the SABIC affiliated industries in Jubail and Yanbu utilize these expensive catalysts worth of millions of dollars. There is strategic need to develop indigenous catalyst systems for these industries. These catalysts systems are proprietary and licensed by international renowned catalysts manufacturing companies. Every year, Saudi Arabia pays millions of dollars to these catalyst companies as a licensing fee. Such catalysts systems, once developed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia can save these dollars as well as the refining and petrochemicals processes and industries can be strategically protected. The development of catalyst systems for which I have been working are as follows:
