Quick WebCT Guide

Getting Started

1.1

Open WebCT from KFUPM main page. If you can’t find it, the URL is:

 

http://webcourses.kfupm.edu.sa

Click Log in to WebCT

Enter your Student ID and your password (the default is your ID). You should then see a page with your courses listed including this one.

Click on your course and see what is available.

Send me an email confirming that you have been able to log in.

Sending an email.

2.1

Click on the Email link on the Course Menu (left frame). This page will appear.

Click on Inbox to read mail.

Click on Compose to write and send mail, as instructed below.

Sending Email:

3.1

Click on browse. A window will open showing all course members, including me.

Highlight the person(s) you wish to email and then click select.

Your should then see my course ID (and the ID of anyone else you select) appear in the address line of the message box.

Enter a subject in the subject line.

Compose your message.

Click Send (at bottom left) and your message will go.

Sending an Attachment

4.1

Do everything as in 3.1 to 3.6 above, then do the following.

Click on Browse, below the message box.

Select the file you wish to attach and click Attach File.

Your file name should appear under the browse box.

If it is the correct file, click Send as in 3.7 above and your message should go.
