atmospheric pressure and the displacement amplitude is much smaller than the
wavelength of sound waves. The table bellow lists the pressure amplitude
and the displacement amplitude for the faintest sound the human ear can
detect and the loudest sound the human ear can tolerate at a frequency of 1000
Hz at room temperature.
