I had to lecture in his class sometimes and give students tests and grade students based on the professor's criteria. The course was composed of a DSS component and an ES component.

n      Research assisted Finance Professor Dr. Abraham in analyzing Saudi Arabia's Stock Market using new researched Forecasting Models & developed analysis tools for testing using Excel/VBA.
The analysis was intended to try to actively forecast stock prices in the Saudi Market using the new model. The evaluation of the model by testing it was the paper's purpose. Reference Dr. Abraham abra at kfupm.edu.sa

Coop as Financial Analyst in Corporate Financial Department

l      Automated a reporting system which saved 4 hours a week.
The Excel VBA tool had to read inputs from different project managers, process it, and develop reports for the budgeting and outlook departments.

l      Automated a Debt/Loan tracking system for Lucent Technologies.
VBA was used to automate the process of acquiring new loans, tracking them, and create reports. A process that took hours every month.

Developing Experience

System's Developer & Programmer

n      Experienced in Programming Since childhood.

n      Developed a Mathematical Functional Programming Language. The package was developed in Java. It was used to support different applications. Such applications that would like spreadsheet functionality, formula graphing, charting, and accounting software where users have the ability to execute customized financial formulas. An online spreadsheet is available. The tool works with JChart.

n      Implemented Relational Object Oriented Database Mapping Package (ROODBI) in Java. The tool is called ObjectDatabase and once added to SourceForge.
The package was developed while EJBs was still in its early stages. The package's purpose was to accelerate development of business applications, Managing Data and persistence.

n      Developed an animated On line Family-Event Tree Creator Program (Information Visualization).
The purpose of this graphing tool is to visualize complex family relationships like polygamy, brothers and sisters through breast feeding, tribes and other types of relationships that exist in many parts of the world.

n      Developed a Visual Room Reservation System for a Department in ARAMCO.
The program requested was a room reservation system. The deliverable was a visualized room reservation system.

n      Developed a Customer Relation System for a local Restaurant.
The software was requested by 'Filfillah' local restaurant in Khobar, SA.

n      Developed many Desktop Games.
Games range from shooting games to riddles.

n      Developed many Java Mobile Games.
Smart games, Snake, etc were developed and published online.

n      Developed a Desktop Music Tone Composer in Middle school

n      Implemented a Chess Game in High School using Procedural Language Qbasic.

The models purpose was to support investors and managers by giving them intelligent forecasts of this high fixed cost industry. This has been transformed from a semester project to a part-time Job.

n      Developing a Text Visualizer tool for Intelligence Agents.

n      Worked on an Independent Study on Completing and Testing the Collaborative Concept Mapping System CCMS. The purpose of the software was to collect and manage organizational thinking and map goals with their objectives using latest theories in Concept Maps and Cognitive maps. Finished a 5 year plan in 4 years.

l         Developed a DSS for buying and selling stocks specialized in the Saudi Stock Market using active investment models. System was developed using Excel/VBA + Java.
The system supports active investors by giving them every day advice related to the stock market. Should buy, hold, sell stocks are the results. The model was based on Active Investors theories such as the Dow Theory, Average Theory, Candlestick Theory.

Interests

n         Criticizing / Researching / Analyzing Different System Modeling Techniques, Designs, Patterns, and Software Architectures.
I have always revisited old code that needs improvements. Sometimes I focus on code to make it modular and/or construct it in the best readable way possible. Even though, I have not developed many programs, I try to assist others to develop code in a modular way or in the best Object Oriented pattern known for special problems.
