There are two popular ways to study for the final exams, each of which is totally up to you to choose or follow. I will call them
A) the F and D student's strategy
B) the A+ student's strategy.
The following are the strategy and you can see the effects of each in terms of your preparation time.

Notice that 3 hours of studying is spent starting from Jan 18 but PETE13x did not get enough preparation time before the final exam. PETE 12x got the most preparation time but students usually underestimate their worrying level goes up closer to the exam. So, how much of the 3 hours spent is devoted to studying and how much devoted to worrying about the exams/grades is uncertain and depends on the individual students.
B) The A+ student's strategy

Notice that only 2.5 hours of studying is spent starting from Jan 10 and all subjects get enough preparation time before the final exam. This schedule is better and from my own student-life experience, this tend to give better results as you are (1) well prepared and (2) confident of your preparation level. So, you will spend less time worrying during your exam whether or not you are prepared for your next exam.
Also, very importantly, the more amount of time you devote to studying for your test is highly correlated with your test performance. For example, if you spend 4 hours a day studying using the A+ student's strategy , you can expect better results.
