The <frame> tag

Definition and Usage

Defines a sub window (a frame). 

Tips and Notes

Note: Do not use the body element on a page containing frames. The frames wont work if you do that.

Note: The end tag is forbidden.

Optional Attributes

Attributes: Values: Description:
longdesc url A link to a long description of the frame. Use it for browsers that do not support frames
marginheight pixels The vertical margins in a frame
marginwidth pixels The horizontal margins in a frame
frameborder 0
1		 Sets whether or not to display a border for the frame
noresize true
false		 Whether the user can or can not resize the frame
scrolling yes
no
auto		 Sets whether the frame can be scrolled
name frame_name The name of the frame
src file_name What file to put in the frame
