Responsibility Accounting Reporting

MSI has several reporting requirements for different areas in the company. Different management levels are interested in reporting on profitability, profit center, cost centers, and internal orders. Test the following scenarios.

Create two cost center reports, one for the Human Resources department and one for the Procurement department. (Both belong to the Finance and Administration business unit). Record the actual costs for the salaries-base wages for each department.

Double click on "Cost Ctr: Act/Plan/Variance

Select the Execute icon to run the cost center report.

G/L Posting Features and Analysis

MSI's controller performs a weekly review of general ledger account balances to find, research and correct any errors before month-end closing. The controller needs to be able to create account-level reports and access journal entries and line-item detail for each general ledger account.

Review the G/L Account Balances report using the data below. Record the account number and debit balance of the Office and Building Rent account
