The Arabic language is used by over 120 million speakers. Although it has a large number of speakers, it remains among one of the low resource languages in terms of research, openly available large data sets, and sophisticated tools for performing core NLP tasks.

Scalable Machine Learning for Reservior Engineering

Oil companies such as Saudi Aramco, collect massive amounts of data from reserviors. Processing these large amounts of data is major challenge given the high variances in the modalities as well as the required pre-processing.
Machine learning models and information retreival techniques contribute not only to the automation of the data processing but also to the improving the prediction of inter-well phenomena.

Health informatics has become an important area of research due the latest shifts in health professionals to digitized systems and electronic health records (EHR).
