Brief Biography

Welcome to my world-wide web site! I am an associate professor at the Department of Information and Computer Science, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). I received my BSc degree in Computer Science from the University of Victoria, Canada. I received an MSc degree as well as a PhD degree in Computer Science from the Computer Science Department at the University of Manitoba, Canada.

Research Interests

My research interests are in the general areas of Computer Networking and Distributed Systems. More specifically, I am working on the following topics:

• Trust Modeling for Peer-to-Peer based computing systems

• Grid computing and next generation middleware architectures

• Resource management algorithms, dissemination, discovery and other issues

• Computer and Network security
