Reed Solomon Codes
nThese
are a sub-class of BCH codes with non-binary alphabets.
nNon-binary codes consist of n symbols rather than n
bits.
nThis ‘grouping’ of bits
enables the construction of long codes with very strong error
correcting capabilities.
nThe added complexity is almost negligible.
