The person or
people who supervise you and the employees who report to you
. . . they all have an image, a feeling, and an opinion about you as a
supervisor, an employee, and as a person.
One useful way of
thinking about how other people see you and to become more aware of
yourself and your behavior is to use a tool called The Johari Window.
This tool helps
you to recognize and to remind you that there are :
•
things about yourself that you do and don’t
know, but others do
•
things that people do and don’t know about you, but you know
about yourself
•
things both you and others do not know about you
