"Trends in Future Wireless Communications"

Abstract- In this talk we look into the development of future wireless communications including wireless internet and wireless broadband.

Firstly we review some of the latest wireless systems, including WiMAX, UWB, 802.11n, HSPDA and try and identify challenges that lay ahead for these systems.

Hand in hand with these systems we also summarize the latest key breakthroughs in wireless technologies such as cognitive radio, cooperative systems, MIMO and cross-layer optimization and attempt to analyze how these will shape future wireless systems.

Finally we suggest what a future a wireless communication system will look like and what future breakthroughs may be needed.
