TIPS FOR GOOD WRITING

GOOD WRITING SHOULD BE:

1. ACCURATE : presents facts as they are.

2. CLEAR : meaning is easily understandable.

3. CONCISE : carries its message quickly.

4. CONVENTIONAL : standard English.

5. APPROPRIATE : subject/purpose/audience.

1. Each Paragraph should express one major idea which is usually stated in a topic sentence.

2. The topic sentence usually is the beginning sentence of the paragraph.

3. The topic sentence must be developed.

4. Each paragrapg must have unity- all sentence are concerned with the same idea.

5. Coherence must be developed between sentences and between paragraphs  there is  logical flow .
