Dr. Alexis Nzila is an Assistant Professor at the Chemistry Department, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). He is trained as biochemist and parasitologist, and joined KFUPM in September 2011 as a Asst. Professor in Biology.

From 1997-2011, he has been working on research on the mechanism of drug resistance and drug discovery in malaria infection, at the Wellcome Trust Kenyan Medical Institute/Wellcome Trust Program, Nairobi Kenya, and the University of Liverpool and University of Oxford.
