Dr. Mohammad QamarResearch Scientist II |
Dr. Qamar received his PhD in chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University,
Aligarh India. He worked as a post doctoral fellow in
Institute/Faculty of Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials
Engineering, Sejong University, South Korea and as a Project
Scientist in the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of
Technology (IIT), Delhi, India. He was awarded ‘Young Scientist’ by
the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
He joined the Center of Excellence in Nanotechnology (CENT) as
post-doctoral fellow and currently working as Research Scientist. He
authored more than 50 papers in peer-reviewed international journals
and holds 3 patents in addition to several conference
proceedings/presentations. His current research interests include
development of electro- and photo-active nanostructured catalysts,
such as metal
carbides & metal phosphides (supported and supportless), metal
oxides, metal sulfides etc., for electrocatalytic and
photoelectrocatalytic water splitting. Focus to develop engineered nanomaterials, such as porous (mesoporous & microporous) materials,
shape- and size-tailored materials, metal doping, interfaced or
heterostructures, surface functionalization with noble and non-noble
materials.
