Abstract |
The concrete cracks are caused due to many reasons as repeated thermal cycling, accidental overloading, drying shrinkage, inadequate design or construction, or some other causes. This seminar is to provide guidance on classification of
concrete cracks and discusses removal of the existing concrete, preparation
of concrete surface to receive repair materials and methods for repairing the
reinforcement bars. |

Abstract |
Thrust blocks, which usually built from concrete, are the most common restraints in use for pressurized pipes. Analysis and optimization of those blocks which saved ~50% of concrete material will be presented. Several tools with high flexibility built to supply the engineer with the proper and optimum dimensions of an anchor block for a given thrust force. |
