Please
Read the Following Report Writing Instructions
|
Thirteen
experiments and eleven reports will be conducted in this
course. For each experiment,
the student is expected to do the following:

| READ CAREFULLY THE LABORATORY MANUAL (TEXT) FOR
THE EXPERIMENT THAT WILL BE PERFORMED.
THIS SHOULD BE DONE ONE OR TWO DAYS PRIOR TO THE BEGINNING OF
SUCH EXPERIMENTS.

|
Participate in each experiment as much as possible.
It will be anticipated that the class will be divided into
groups, each is having about three students.
This, in effect, will enable all of you to take part in the
activities of these experiments.
Each group should have a representative or a group leader.
|
|
At the end of each experiment, clean the
equipment and tools used.
In addition, these equipment and tools should be placed in their
designated area. The
group leader is responsible for the cleaning and the safety of the
equipment assigned to the group.
|
|
During each experiment, the test data should appear
in a suitable, clear and neat form.
Substantial errors can occur due to unorganized laboratory
data.
|
|
Prepare
a laboratory report. The format of such report is as follows: |

|
|
|
|
|
|
Introduction:
Using your own expression, write a brief introduction to the
experiment in not more than one page.
|
|
Purpose
: State the purpose of the
experiment. |
|
Apparatus
: List equipment and tools
used to perform the test.
|
|
Procedure : Outline the
procedure used and reference the texts or manuals being followed.
You should mention any deviations from the referenced
procedure.
|
| Results & calculations : It is not
necessary to show all the detailed calculations. One typical
calculation is enough. |
|
Discussion
of Results : Discuss the findings of each experiment and point out probable errors
involved in the results. A
comparison between the calculated results and those established
previously, if available, should be made. |
|
Appendix
: Provide raw data of the experiment. |
|
|
|
Show sample calculations. It
is not necessary to show all the detailed calculations. One typical
calculation is enough.

|
State
all references used to write the report |
|
|
Reports
should
be printed on A4 sheets. All
the sheets in the report should be of same size
Utilizing
the computer for both the report and the graph’s (Microsoft Office)
In
addition
to submitting the hard copy each individual should Send via e-mail the
