V. Problems / Suggestions

Please provide us with a list of problems related to computer use in teaching at KFUPM

  Problems
1. a- Insufficient equiped classrooms. b- Insufficient technical support. c- Insufficient capacity for the internet.
2. a- Lack of basic computer skills for most KFUPM students. b- Insufficient communication skills for most KFUPM students (e.g. reading & writing English, typing).

  Suggestions
1. Sufficient computer hardware and software need to be Provided to classromms, with technical support personnel. There is a need to expand the bandwidth of the internet for effective communication.
2. For effective teaching and learning via the computer, students need to be effectively trained in basic computer skills as well as communication skills (e.g. reading & writing English, typing).
