Omar Al-Attas is an Assistant Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Al-Attas earned his Ph.D. degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Ottawa (2012). He also holds a Master of Science (MSC) in Civil Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (2003) and a B.Sc. degree (with honors) in Civil Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (2000).

Dr. Al-Attas’s academic interests include domestic wastewater treatment, Adsorption processes, Microbial fuel cells (MFCs) and Industrial wastewater treatment, disposal and reuse.
