Dr. Shaikh Abdur Razzak
is an Associate Professor in the department of Chemical
Engineering at
King Fahd University of
Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia.
He is also a registered Professional Engineer in the province of
Ontario, Canada.
Dr. Shaikh Abdur
Razzak received his B. Eng degree from
Bangladesh University of
Engineering and Technology, completed a Master's
degree from
King Fahd University of
Petroleum & Minerals, Saudi Arabia and received
his PhD degree from
The University of
Western Ontario, Canada, all in Chemical
Engineering. He then worked as Postdoctoral Fellow
in the Biochemical Engineering at
the University of
Western Ontario, Canada for
almost two years before joining in
King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals
2010, where he became Associate Professor in 2015.
Dr. Shaikh Abdur
Razzak is a very active member of the Chemical
Engineering profession, serving as reviewer of many reputed
national and international chemical and biochemical engineering
journals. In addition, He is a very enthusiastic teacher and
actively involved in supervising, training both graduate and
undergraduate level Chemical Engineering students.
His major area of research interests are
Fluidization, Reaction Engineering, Wastewater treatment, CO2
Mitigation and Bio-Energy. His main focus on development of next
generation environment friendly bio-resource technologies
related to the environment. Currently he is working on
hydrodynamics behavior of Liquid-solid Circulating Fluidized Bed
reactor, Biological Wastewater Treatment and CO2
mitigation using microalgae culture in photo-bioreactor, next
generation Biofuel Production and Biomass Gasification, Reaction
Kinetics and Catalysis. His works have been published as over 60
journal/conference articles and submitted US Patents. He is
heavily involved in client funded projects, including NSTIP,
KACST-NSTIP, DSR, Saudi ARAMCO. |
