ISE 323: Methods Engineering

Catalog description: History of methods design and work measurement, methods design, process analysis, operation analysis, introduction to human engineering, standardization, work measurement, predetermined motion-time systems, standard data, work sampling.  The course is designed as (2-3-3).

Course Learning Outcomes: after competing this course students will able to:

  1. Construct the flow process chart of a process
  2. Conduct time study
  3. Use work sampling technique
  4. Develop adequate time standards
  5. Improve processes

Prerequisites: ISE 205 Engineering Probability and Statistics or equivalent.

Computer Usage: Blackboard will be used to communicate with the students class announcements, quiz dates, lecture notes, grades, etc.  Therefore, every student is required to activate his Blackboard account and should check course Blackboard before the class, at minimum.

Important Course Policies: Every student is supposed to come to class, especially when we have a quiz or an exam. Hence, no makeup exam of any kind will be given under any circumstances.
