Progress Tests assess material from the units students have studied up to that point. They do not assess retroactively. All tested grammar and vocabulary items come from the Headway Elementary Student’s book. Progress Test 1 assesses Units 1 – 4 of Headway. Progress Test 2 assesses Units 9 – 12 of Headway. Each Progress Test is worth 7.5%. |
The Mid-Module Exam assesses all material students have studied up to that point. All tested grammar and vocabulary items come from the Headway Elementary Student’s book. It tests Units 1 – 8 of Headway. The Mid-Module Exam is worth 15% of ENGL00. |
The Final Exam assesses all of Headway. The Final Exam is worth 40% of the entire mark. The Final Writing Exam consists of one seen task, previously done, and one unseen task. |
Each Writing Test is worth 2% Writing tests are marked by the class teacher and then adjusted according to students’ performance in the Final Exam. |
