CAREER OBJECTIVE

 To develop an outstanding career as a faculty member or in an academic administrative position in a challenging environment as a “professor” in a reputed university


 PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

 1)  My specialization is in reservoir engineering and EOR/IOR where I have completed five projects (Projects no. 4 – 7 in CV). Currently one project (Project no. 4 in CV) is running. The total funding is over three million Saudi Riyals. One patent application is filed related to EOR (Wettability alteration). I have published 12 journal articles, 8 refereed conference articles and five manuscripts are submitted that are related to EOR/IOR. I am capable of using new concept (memory concept) in enhancing the understanding EOR process. My specialization is also in the area where I can model any complex phenomena related to EOR.

 2)  My specialization is in sustainable drilling operations where I have completed four projects (Projects no. 3, 8, 11, and 12 in CV). Currently two projects (Project no. 2, and 6 in my CV) are running. The total funding is over 2.5 million Saudi Riyals. In addition, I am engaged with a 3.5 million Saudi Riyal project related to LCM funded by Saudi Aramco. Three patents applications are filed related to sustainable drilling fluid development. I have published 13 journal articles, 5 refereed conference articles that are related to sustainable drilling operations. I have written one textbook on “Fundamentals of Sustainable Drilling” (Book no. 3 in my CV). Another book is in progress related to the problems and solutions while drilling (Book no. 4 in my CV). I am capable of using any new concept toward the development of new drilling fluid and modeling ROP optimization.       

  • 20 years of total professional experience as an administrator and faculty member.
  • 10 years of professional experience in oil & gas industries (BAPEX, Bangladesh) as Manager in reservoir engineering division, senior petroleum Engineer and at different other administrative levels.
  • 10 years of teaching, and research teaching experience at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Ryerson University, Dalhousie University, Sultan Qaboos University, and Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology, Bangladesh.
  • Ability to make the correct operational decisions based on systematic analysis with rigorous attention to details.
  •  Extensive experience in administrative leadership, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent track record in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels (Recipient of “Distinguished A+” faculty award for the academic years 2009- 2010, 2010- 2011, 2011- 2012, 2012 – 2013 at KFUPM)
  •  Four patents applications, under process.
  •  Published three books in the field of drilling operations and drilling engineering
  •  One book will be published in November 2015 (in progress) in the field of drilling engineering
  • Authored over 90 technical articles on drilling operations, petroleum reservoir modeling and simulation, sustainable drilling engineering, reservoir characterization, enhanced oil recovery, and risk analysis & management, in different journals and conferences.
  • Worked as a team leader and successfully implemented fifteen projects on the above areas.
  • Proven ability to meet any challenging job environment. Possess strong leadership capability and interact with faculty members/team members in multi-national environment.
  • Actively involved in research both in externally and internally funded researches. 
  • Strength in conducting research in the area of sustainable drilling, drilling fluid, reservoir simulation and modeling of injection methods including enhanced recovery schemes, optimized use of seismic data for reservoir characterization.
  • Experienced as a team leader and member of a multicultural work environment.
  • Strong ability in team work, reviews application of new technology, including directing and participating in feasibility studies to recommend adoption of new techniques and equipment.
  • Strong ability to recommend and plan special tests or test runs prior to recommending field wide implementation.
