NON-VERBAL TERMS

       Hands and arms KINESICS

       Standing/Sitting = Posture

       Eyes Oculistics

       Facial movements smile, frown

       Physical Appearance Height, Weight, Age, Gender (M/F), Clothes, Objects (watch, pen, etc.), and Attractiveness (beauty/not beauty)

       RELATED TO PHYSICAL Odors/smells (good and bad); cleanliness or not; style; hygiene (the health/cleanliness of all parts of your body)

 

       Voice Tone, volume, speed

       Time difference between high/low context cultures: High = elastic. Low = fixed

       Touch Haptics (High context = acceptable) (Low context = not acceptable or more complex situation)

       Space & Territory Proxemics (People, Place, Objects set up, distance, relationships) The higher the context, the closer you can stand to the other person without causing a problem.
