Abstract

The interaction of a glissile dislocation with a dislocation boundary is analyzed using a 3D discrete dislocations plasticity computational model. Results are presented using two approaches: a quasi-static approach based on the resolved shear stress from the self-stress field of the dislocation boundary and through dynamic analysis. Possible correlation between the two is highlighted.
